clim connects your phone to a Claude Code or Codex session running on your own computer. It has no accounts, no sign-up, and no server that holds your data.

WHAT WE COLLECT

Nothing. clim collects no personal information, sends no analytics, and contains no telemetry, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting SDKs. There is no backend that stores anything about you, because there are no user accounts at all.

WHERE YOUR SESSION DATA GOES

On the same WiFi (LAN mode): your phone talks directly to your computer over your local network. Nothing leaves your router, and no third party is involved.
Away from home (Cloud mode): traffic passes through a relay so the two devices can find each other. Everything is encrypted on your computer before it is sent and decrypted only on your phone, using a key generated on your computer and shared with your phone by scanning a QR code. That key is never transmitted to the relay.

The relay stores nothing. It holds no database and writes nothing to disk — it forwards encrypted messages between your two devices and forgets them. It cannot read your conversations, because it does not have the key.

WHAT IS STORED ON YOUR PHONE

Only what is needed to reconnect to your own computer, held in the app's private storage on the device:

the address of your computer and its pairing secret
the encryption key and room identifier used for Cloud mode
which connection you last used, and which sessions you have muted

Deleting the app removes all of it. Your conversations are not saved by the app — they are read live from your computer and are gone when the app closes.

WHAT IS STORED ON YOUR COMPUTER

The clim command keeps a pairing key in your home folder and a temporary pairing PIN while pairing is open. Your Claude Code conversation history is written and owned by Claude Code itself, in its own folder — clim only reads it in order to show it on your phone, and never uploads it anywhere except, encrypted, to your own phone.

NOTIFICATIONS

Notifications are generated locally on your phone from data already on it. No push service receives the content of your sessions.

CHILDREN

clim is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13.

CHANGES

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Because clim collects nothing, we do not expect it to change often.
